I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience I encountered during my recent trip with Delta Airlines (Confirmation: H6BZPY / Ticket: 0062252076586). My departure flight arrived on time in Atlanta, but I was denied boarding for the next leg of my journey because the flight had been overbooked. This forced me to stay overnight in Atlanta in a dirty hotel, with a meal allowance of only $12 per person. I would like to point out that this amount was insufficient, as there is no meal available at the airport that costs so little.Because of this delay, I missed my connecting flight from São Paulo to Brasília, which caused further disruption to my travel plans. I was forced to rent a car to reach my final destination, Brasília, at additional personal expense. On top of this, my checked luggage was lost in Atlanta and was only returned to me after six days. When it finally arrived, the contents were soaked with water and had begun to mould. The fact that the other two pieces of checked luggage, which were the same size, arrived in good condition highlights a clear lack of care in handling my belongings. There has been no support from the company for this huge inconvenience, and I was left without proper clothing for 6 days. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, and I believe it reflects a significant failure on Delta’s part. I request compensation for the costs incurred due to overbooking, my missed flights, the condition of my luggage, and the unnecessary expenses I faced as a result.I trust that they will take this matter seriously and address it promptly.
