My flight was cancelled for an undisclosed reason. I was messaging with a Delta employee and she assured me that my expenses would be reimbursed. I entered my expense reimbursement request upon returning home and received notification that it was denied due to “flight was cancelled due to weather.” I spoke with a delta employee on the phone and explained to her that the reason the flight was cancelled was not disclosed to us and a delta employee assured me my expenses would be covered. Her response was that now looking back on the flight they have updated the cancellation reason to be weather and she understands that I was not told the cancellation reason and was assured I would be reimbursed but “accidents happen” so they will not be reimbursing me. I am now out hundreds of dollars that they assured me would be reimbursable. Terrible experience, terrible customer service.
