The Daily Mail is a a tabloid that has aspirations of being a credible news source, like the broadsheets, but at the end of the day it is still just a "redtop".It has a shaky relationship with the truth like most tabloids and prefers sensationalism, polarised opinion and stoking prejudice rather than distributing impartial fact; probably because they need to incense their readership to drive engagement to generate ad revenue. On that note, the site is infested with obnoxious side ads and clickbait, I'd advise against entry, unless you have robust ad-blockerThe publication is vehemently against press regulation and yet consistently proves over and over again that the press doesn't have the wherewithal to regulate itself. Its great that they have a comment section, however, its full of trolls and highly polarised views, like much of the internet, its a complete cesspit, there is little reasoned response and it turns into a gutter brawl with all the associated mud flinging, enter at your peril, unless you go in for that thing.
