Crypto platform made it too easy for me to be hacked with counterfeit emails that mislead me to innocently open familiar daily emails from CB whereupon I was asked to renew password vs. just the usual login. Instantly the hacker prompted me to put in a new email and call customer service # though I hesitated the hacker was able to navigate around my page in which an instant call was generated to me with instructions to type in a code for access for a need for renewal with ID by typing in code in search bar. I did and instantly hacker had administrator controls and took over my whole page turning blue with huge text font indicating: Initializing security check. It went on for a few minutes. Something felt odd so I shut down account and laptop altogether. I logged back in and funds were still intact. Here's where things got worse when I called CB customer service to report suspicious activity and the CS rep was new and she couldn't tell if I was hacked though we went through all the steps and security measures and when I explained everything that had happened to me her reasoning was IT was just performing routine normal security checks and nothing seemed out of the ordinary to her. Come to find out she was very wrong, and it ended up costing nearly $1K in crypto currency as the hacker later that evening took over my entire laptop and robbed me of that amount leaving me with nearly zero funds in my account. I called back was told to lock account and to wait 48 hrs before unlocking account. I did this and was guided by IT techs with instructions to unlock my account and to no avail and is still locked as I type this and it's been over week and still locked account. I have a new phone but there system is so sensitive that my new photo ID attempts were rejected multiple times until nearly 2 hours on the phone with IT tech with numerous failed attempts. I was advised to use a different device and I did by opening up a new tablet and selfie and ID photos were accepted then a new snag was presented with having to pose with a written sign prop for CB verification my driver's license and myself posing with all 3 in the mirror in a balancing act that the prior request driver's license and selfie accepted and now this balancing act was very difficult but then all 3 requirements were accepted. Informed to wait 48 hours and I did that. Only to be told photos Not accepted after they had previously accepted them. The company's policy for unlocking is too stringent and unrealistic and unfair and what do I have to show for it? I'm still out $1K loss in investments and still have a locked account with refusal from CB to investigate my case for restoring my losses because my photos kept on getting rejected. I'm denied due process on both accounts is outrageous because action is dependent on one for the other. I recommend crypto investors to stay away from platform and never do business with them ever.
