Extremely dissatisfied with Clover. I opened a small business with a partner who turned out to be a nightmare. I dissolved the partnership Oct 31, 2023 and the Sales Rep said that she would enter the new information into the system. She entered my phone number incorrectly, and upon calling Clover, I was told they could not help me because the phone number in the system did not match mine. I ended up having to close my business in under a year and the Sales Rep said, no problem, she would put my account on hold so no further payments would come out, as I had sold the business and the woman taking over would start in two months. This didn't happen, and upon speaking with a person at First Data, she did not have authorization to put my account on hold. The Sales Rep said she would have the new person who was taking over my space assume the lease of the equipment. She didn't, and did not inform me. I keep calling Clover to put in a complaint about this Sales Rep, and I can never speak to anyone in authority. I have called at least 5 times to try and get this rectified, and am told each time that they will escalate this matter, and I never hear from anyone. I have spoken to First Data, who have said that I should return the equipment, and then I have to pay THOUSANDS of Dollars in penalty fees!!!!!! I learned from the woman who took over my space that the Sales Rep took the equipment with her, and I have reached out several times to find out where it is, as I am supposed to return it. She ignores my phone calls. My last attempt was on Monday May 5th, again after being passed to several people at the Call Centre, I explained my situation again, and she said there is no record on my file of any of this. She would escalate this and I should hear from someone in 2-4 business days. It is now May 21st, and I have heard nothing. I wanted to put in a formal complaint, and am unable to speak to anyone who has authority, and who has any idea of what they are doing, or what I should do. The money keeps coming out of my account. I don't know where my equipment is, the Sales Rep has essentially stolen the POS system, as it has not been returned to First Data, and I can reach NO ONE who has any authority to do anything! This is totally unacceptable and bordering on CRIMINAL.
