Just wanted to call out Chegg for their terrible customer service recently. I rented a textbook from them (for about $60) this past semester. I returned it at the due date through UPS.About a week or so later, I get an email from Chegg telling me that they are going to charge me $1000 if I don't return the book to them. After spending about a half hour talking to their chat on their website (some obvious AI slop) and another half hour on hold on the phone, I finally find out that they received the book two days after I returned it. They just couldn't get it together enough to actually process the return until I called them to bug them for an hour.Unless you get some weird thrill off of randomly being threatened to have your bank account depleted by your textbook rental company, I would not recommend Chegg.
