I booked a hotel on Capitol one. Unfortunately we had to cancel the day before our trip due to one of the travelers took ill. I understand it was a nonrefundable reservation. We contacted capitol one and they told us to wait till day of checkout from hotel to see if they will refund or give us a voucher. They also told me to contact hotel to see what they would do.I did, they told me it was up to capitol one due to the reservation was through them. This went on for 2 weeks. Back and forth. We also had to cancel our flights which were nonrefundable. The airlines gave us a voucher for entire amount for future use. Capitol One SCREWED US!!!! They would not even give us voucher. We had proof of the travelers illness and were advised not to fly. Capitol one made us wait till check out to see if they would charge Capitol one and they did. Because of them we have to pay $900.00 to capitol one for a trip we never took! I understand them possibly charging us for one day but was charged the entire amount. They purposely made us wait knowing the hotel was going to charge it out! Very dissatisfied with the whole transaction. Due to this situation I am seriously considering closing this credit card. I have been a valued customer for over 10 years!
