I booked a hotel that ended up being false advertising and very unsafe (photos of dripping ceiling, burnt out outlets, stained furniture, as well as smoke and urine smells.) Both the property and booking.com had been unhelpful in issuing a refund. Customer service is repetitive and the people who work on the phone lines leave you on hold without doing anything new to help. I would not recommend booking through this website even if it’s cheaper, because if you need help no one is actually helpful.
