Booked a static caravan through booking.com for 21st june. Have received emails stating everything in place on previous day. Reached the site with family around 6pm. Found the caravan not cleaned, beds not changed, place in a filthy state(wigbay loch view 28). Contacted the owner, advised to stay over in the filthy, smelly caravan and advised you can clean your self. Contacted customer care booking.com they advised the same initially and then agreed will find an alternative stay and call us back in 30 minutes. Wait inside the car nearly for 1hr 30 minutes Contacted booking.com again, this time customer service agent refunded the original booking fee and hanged up the phone on our face.contacted them back again, attended by a female staff she advised you can find an alternative stay your self @10 pm. She said she will call us back in 30 minutes. No call back I have to travel back home from the intended holiday site. No compensation nothing. Lesson learned. Book directly through reputed companies,then there is no issues and good customer service.
