Booking.com Reimbursed Me — But Ignored My Complaints

I had a confirmed reservation with Motel 6 Austin, which was cancelled without warning. The property was rude and unhelpful. I contacted Booking.com via email twice and got no response. I eventually had to call, where I was told to “consider the refund as the reply” — and promised a follow-up that never came.Yes, I was reimbursed — but only because I pushed for it. Booking.com failed to acknowledge my formal complaint or offer any accountability. The whole process felt dismissive and unprofessional. If this is how serious incidents are handled, I’ve lost confidence in their support.
