my wife and i decided to have a couple of days in sheringham norfolk, as shes 79 and suffers dementia, i looked on booking . com for somewhere to stay, an apartment in holt looked nice, so i booked and paid 3 days before, i received, a conformation from booking . com, and the owner who said he would send me the key code on the day, we drove 114 miles to sheringham arriving at 11-45, and were ready for a cuppa, finding a cafe we sat down and i checked my messages, there was one from the owner saying my booking was CANCELLED, saying booking.com had messed up, after contacting them i got a gentleman who i had very difficult understanding, what they had done was take another booking for longer, no alternative booking,ot sure if this is common practice with them, but i WON,T BE IN A HURRY TO BOOK THROUGH THEM AGAIN, BEWARE! we ended up driving 114 miles back home.
