I booked and paid for a vacation rental through Booking.com, but the host never sent the access code to enter the property. My family and I were left stranded at midnight in the U.S. with nowhere to go. We had to pay out of pocket for a last-minute hotel, after already being charged for the house.Neither the host nor Booking.com responded in time. This was a terrible and stressful experience. I have contacted Booking’s customer service and am still waiting for a real solution, refund, or compensation.This is unacceptable. I trusted the platform, and it completely failed us.
