The Royal Clifton Hotel SouthportWell were does one start? Having to pay for car parking & then you might not be able to park & having to park & pay for street parking ,staff & contractors using guests parking spaces, Room & wifi were ok , the bed was like trying to sleep on concrete & the shower was less than adequate .Breakfast was good but little can go wrong with it really,Dinner on the other hand was a nightmare, The starters esp. the soup were good. the vegetarian dishes were a bit lacking or looked inedible. When you have to ask for salt & pepper i despaired. The ballroom was good .but hotel needs some tlc .The staff were good & very helpful but needed leadership to get the place up to a reasonable standard. will not be returning.
