The Old Tollgate, Bramber, West Sussex restaurant. Dreadful experience. Used to be a carvery. Understand with COVID rules this isn't now possible but still doesn't excuse dreadful meal we had. Quantity wasn't bad for a main meal but nothing tasted of anything. The meat and vegetables didn't taste of anything at all. Wasn't even sure if meat was processed or not but the beef was so chewy so maybe not. The gravy was like coloured hot water. Staff didn't know what they were doing. Only one credit card machine working, so had to wait to pay the bill. They did take the cost of one main meal off the bill in recognition of our dissatisfaction. Disappointing as this was meant to be a celebratory birthday meal. Would NOT recommend this place
