Stowmarket; Expecting hot cooked breakfast we were informed this is not possible at all. Expecting central heating, this was not on, the entire two November days. Black mould was on the wall behind the bedside cabinet. The carpet in the corridor was dirty to the point of being discoloured.....What is good is the towels, nice and fluffy and thick, the cleanliness of the room - reasonable, and the staff - tried to be helpful, but nobody took the trouble to inform us about the hot food problems before we arrived or kept us informed about the heating during our stay . Outside the building there was unsightly litter from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. We did sleep well however, beds were comfortable and warm, and we accepted the proffered bottle of cheap fizzy wine to compensate, but it did not I am afraid.
