Well, I can see that I am not the only one that abhors Best Buy. You see throughout the years; I have spent tens of thousands with this company. I can't say that it has been the best service but at least there was some okay service.Fast forward to my latest experience...I purchased a gaming computer for my son. Within 5 months, we began having issues with it. Five months for a nearly 2000-dollar computer. We contacted the manufacturer. They tried a number of remedies, and none worked. Thinking that Best Buy would stand behind the product they sold, I went there to have it checked out. The woman behind the customer service desk couldn't help and sent me to the Geek Squad. Now, you apparently have to make an appointment, but I chose to ask the Geek that was standing around with no customers. He told me that it has no warranty and that it only has two weeks after purchase and directed me to a repair place that was a competitor.The same day, I sent an email to the CEO and others to vent my disdain for Best Buy. I was amazed when someone from Best Buy responded and offered to help. In fact, I was moderately impressed. Of course, that quickly changed. He asked for the info and proof of the purchase and so on. I responded by telling him everything that happened. Now, would you like to know how he wished to resolve it? He wanted me to purchase a Geek Squad warranty. LOLOLOLOLOL Thank goodness he was there to help me out. I responded to that stupidity with another email to the CEO and others. Immediately, he, the "helper" sent me a bit of a threat that my emails shouldn't go to the "higher ups" and will all be directed to him. As if to say, we are pretending to care a little bit. Let me take a step back. When I was in the Best Buy, my son and I were probably, two of maybe five that were in the store. Most of the employees were chatting to each other and no one seemed interested in customer service. I know they aren't doing well, and I hate to lose another brick and mortar, but they lost my business and all the business from friends and family. By the way, that isn't a threat either. It's just that all questions and purchases for appliances, electronics, phones and gaming systems are being directed to me and I will always do my best to find them the deal with the best company! You know, a company with customer service.
