Thank you Best Buy (2290 Cambie St, Vancouver BC, Canada) for ruining my Christmas purchasing experience.Worst customer service I have ever seen in my 54 years. It’s infuriating when a 5 min purchase takes over 40 min due to incompetent customer service. Waiting in line is to be expected, but when an indecisive young woman can’t make a decision and is monopolizing the only sales agent in the Apple section and said sales agent is allowing this due to potential commission, is very aggravating.Your sales staff need more customer service training. Acknowledging those waiting in line (instead you had your back to the line up) and servicing the line as it forms is the fair way to handle things OR ask for more sales agents to assist and “share” the commissions. When the young woman leaves and then returns, I voice that there is a queue. The Apple salesperson then hands me off to another salesperson (Masih) “saving the higher commission for himself” rather than explaining to young woman that there is a line up.The whole interaction with Masih was lukewarm at best. He was very disinterested when we were discussing which case to purchase for the iPad. Masih took me over to a desk to complete the transaction and asked 3 times if I wanted the extra warranty. 2 years for $169, 3 years for$269 and then he drops the 2 years to $129. After I repeatedly said no , his whole demeanour changed from disinterested to an outright jerk. He asked for an email for my receipt and made no move to allow access to the keyboard. The receipt that was printed was left on the printer for me to retrieve. It was equivalent of Masih having a hissy fit because I refused to purchase the additional warranty from Best buy which he obviously receives compensation from. The whole situation has tainted my view of Best Buy. I have previously shopped at this location in the past, but will never step foot in there again.
