I have watched the BBC news now most of my adult life. It was my way of starting the day and being updated on the national and international status quo. I am not interested in magazine shows such as ITV, however, I now find that the repetitive, lazy reporting of only Covid 19 issues eg - Kids wearing face masks at school today!!) Constant interviews with so called specialists giving the exact same subjective views and repetitive non purpose questions from the interviewers. Where has the news gone, what is happening in the world or around the country? The disaster in Mauritius with the oil tanker, one such example given next to no coverage. Life is still happening around the world and in Europe. People are interested!I am now looking to European news channels and have even been informed more of what is going on in Britain than my own Media stations. Please start to think about Reporters doing their job and getting out there informing us of what is going on in around the country and internationally. We are at risk of becoming ignorant and insular little Islanders. Now Boris would love that!!!
