From the standpoint of being a good anti-virus software, Avast is actually a great product. I never had any viruses or other issues. My issue is their business practices. Every time I ran a scan, they found a new problem that wasn't covered. They then wanted me to try a new tool that added to my bill after the free trial ended. I had a different expiration date for all of these products as the bill went up. Then, when I went to cancel all of them, I had to threaten to contact the state AG and BBB before the support person I talked to on chat would cancel my subscriptions. He wanted me to wait until the expiration date and contact them then. Very shady and dishonest. Avoid them and find a company that doesn't try to nickel and dime you with upsells!
