I have been an AT&T customer for 25 years or so. I have finally reached the end of the line with them. The wireless network speeds have really taken a nosedive in the areas where i work and live. I have compared my speeds with coworkers with same model phones their through puts was 300-400bps and mine was 80-100. ATT store said normal for this area. Wife gets new I-watch with cell data. We go to add watch data plan to our acct and they said there is a hold on our acct. We are delinquent on $1,500. I said impossible never have been and the balance due on acct was $0. They said i have to go through fraud dept and get a police report and prove it is not mine. Next day check my credit I have a default and is in collections. I have never received any notice from ATT or a collection agency. So, 25 yrs of being a customer and an acct that has never been late on a payment has to prove that it is not my debt. Because ATT did not do its due diligence in protecting my account and confirming the identity of a person making a fraudulent purchase on my account. I will be changing from ATT. Their blatant disregard for their customer will cost them more than they are saying I owe them. At $500/month it is there loss. So steer away from ATT would be my suggestion my friend.
