ASUS TUF GAMING FX504-GM from OVERCLOCKERS UK

RESPONSE 23/08/2019Overclockers UK replaced this laptop with a newer model, which had the kinks all worked out.Asus, I contacted you by phone and by live chat over 10 times and you fobbed me off every time.I have a working Asus laptop now, but I didn't want to take an Asus replacement but had no choice. My next laptop won't be Asus, nor will any PC components. You're replying now because you got a negative review that everyone can see, even though you have had loads of chances to rectify this. The laptop model effected is all over the internet as being faulty, and those people have all complained too. Why haven't you recalled your poorly designed laptops?Very disappointed Asus, my original review still stands.--------------I bought a ASUS TUF GAMING FX504-GM from Overclockers UK a while ago. I run an ecommerce website and do webdesign, video editing etc.I wanted a portable laptop that had the processing power to play games and do the intensive editing of 4K.To be fair the laptop plays games and does these things very well, but only for so long...It will totally lock up and freeze mid game or mid edit, the event viewer brings up a few errors just before the lock up which loads of other users have reported online. A petition was even started and got quite a few signatures to fix these dodgy laptops. Apparently Asus have fixed these issues in their later laptops, but couldn't care less about the customers they've already stiffed.Getting in touch with Asus was a nightmare. The live chat people don't have a clue on what the event viewer even is, or what the error codes mean. They also lie to you to fob you off, and if you catch them out, they'll transfer you or cut you off.I was offered a repair under the manufacturers warranty, but this would mean:A. The laptop would be completely wiped clean.B. The laptop would be away for a minimum of 3 weeks.Other users have complained that it has taken way more than 3 weeks and that the laptops come back mishandled or dirty. They've also said that repairs that have 'rectified' the issues have done nothing, which leads to returning the laptop again and so on and so on.I cannot be without a computer. I have an eCommerce website and do my business invoices etc. I spoke to Overclockers and ASUS and asked for some sort of loan laptop until mine gets back from repair, they declined and said it's only if you bought one of their much more expensive premium laptops. So, I'm stuck with a laptop that freezes constantly, and I either shut my business down for 3-6 weeks till it comes back or I just live with it.Very disappointed with ASUS and Overcockers UK. They manufactured a lemon and then it was sold to me.My advice, stay well clear of Overclockers UK and ASUS. The products of ASUS are horrific and they couldn't care less about sending a faulty product to market, and the customer services of Overclockers could certainly be improved. It cannot be that hard to provide a temporary laptop until mine is repaired, or just tkae this garbage one back and refund/replace it.
