I bought an ASUS TUF 27" WQHD IPS 165Hz Monitor from Umart for $729 for a new Macintosh Computer System. From the time I turned it on I had problems with the system not displaying a picture from startup and the Mac not waking up from sleep. Thought I had corrupted my backup system and that it was a computer fault but after 6 re-installs I took it to Apple and their in-store Samsung monitor worked perfectly. ASUS wanted at least a month to evaluate the monitor and no one offered me a loaner, therefore I had to buy another monitor (LG brand), which worked perfectly with my new computer system. I told ASUS I wanted a refund but after 5 weeks I received an email from Umart saying to come and pick the monitor up. No report or feedback but I finally got out of Umart that ASUS had found no fault, and a refund would not be forthcoming. I reluctantly took the monitor back but spent at least 50 hours writing a submission along with an Apple store report, as well as making a video of the incompatibility problems. Made it clear I would take legal action if I didn't get a refund. Umart has now apologised and agreed to give me a full, unconditional refund. What a relief.I paid a Roll Royce price this ASUS computer accessory and got treated like scum. ASUS gave me no technical support and while they have firmware updates for Windows based operating systems, nothing is available for Mac OS X. No mentioned of this in the listing on the Umart site.I will never ever buy an ASUS computer, peripheral or accessory again. Didn't do any research on ASUS but just assumed they would be good because they are a big company. I was wrong! I admit this was an unusual fault (not that uncommon though), but ASUS couldn't have been more difficult to deal with. Here's another one star review for your impossibly bad service.
