Very disappointed to see my dad's 2-year-old VivoBook with a cracked chassis around the hinge and power assembly, something that 100% has been caused by poor product design and materials. Such a shame as on the components side it seemed well spec'ed/good value. Don't expect every laptop in the market to be MIL standard for drop testing etc, but do expect to be able to open and close the lid without it self destructing...Doubtful we'll get any direct service or support from Asus as it'll be just 'out of warranty' but will update this review if anything unexpected happens on that front.
