Same old stock and charging for returns

ASOS used to be one of my favourite go to shops but now you have to spend so much time scrolling through the same stock that they haven’t been able to sell since probably Covid. Also, whilst I understand that there are always those customers who take the mick when it comes to returns (wearing clothes and returning them or purposely ordering too much stock) instead of targeting these individuals they have now put a blanket fee on everyone of charging them if they don’t keep at least £40 of their order. So for example, I have just ordered some trainers. I always buy the same brand, however, even in this brand my size ranges depending on how the manufacturer has made the shoe. My feet size do not change, I am a fully grown adult. Yet, they have only let me order one size and now if I need to return them for another size they will charge me the £3.95 as I haven’t kept at least £40 or the delivery. Therefore ASOS, you cannot state that returns are free because it now isn’t when you need to return an item. Your biggest competition is now the likes of Temu and Shein who do not charge for returns.
