Used my Amex card for a rental car deposit. It took 5 days for the pending deposit to fall off of the online app. And then, the deposit was refunded on my paper statement which showed the funds available. However, the funds were not available on the app and my transactions were denied. Reprensentative said the funds would not be available for 7-10 days. I won't be using Amex to fund deposits of any type in the future. Get some consistency between paper and electrons!
