After 36 years of membership with American Express Classic gold rewards, never missing a payment they recently cap my spending and started sending me emails when I hit 50% of the cap that they might start declining my charges. There were a few months where I did not pay the balance in full the last few months I am back to paying in full. I chatted and called American Express they told me I was a valued customer and they proceed to tell me there was nothing they could do. They were only to happy to cancel my cards. Not the way you treat someone you treat some you say is valued.
