When an Amazon seller failed to respond, after an Amazon refurbished ipad had a fatal hardware failure a few days after the 1 year warranty, Amazon Customer Services actually lied to me, pretending to process a full refund. When it failed to appear in my account as promised a week later, and I followed it up with Amazon, they apologised and said the person who had made up the refund would get further training... and all they could do was ask the seller to refund me, which they had already refused to do.
