Amazon UK No Empathy for the Poor, No Action to Compensate Problems They Cause Like Leaving Someone

Please spend your money elsewhere. I've spent thousands over the years at Amazon. I'm having a difficult moment. On Tuesday I suddenly found myself unable to check into a hostel for the night while it was freezing in Paris. This was because I had not canceled Amazon Prime. Amazon UK, took the money from my French account they were able to access through Amazon France as they could not bill my UK account. I did not know they could touch my French account but it was in the small print. I stood freezing on a street corner trying to contact them. Finally I resorted to the press office and Jeff Bezos. I am lucky my French bank did not approve of their actions and put ten euros back on my account immediately. It was the difference between a bed that night and the street at - 2. Then I got a series of corporate messages from the escalations team for one of the world's richest men days later from Amazon. No empathy. Had to ask them to refund me the money. It arrived Friday night. Asked them if they wanted to be generous to the poor and contribute to something I needed in a difficult situation. Got another cold corporate response and a no. I suddenly realized rich people are not nice. They don't care about the poor. I've closed my accounts.
