Bought a new iPhone 16 Pro Max. They sent a refurb one so of course, I asked to return it. I returned the phone using their supplied label and as instructed. Amazon claim that I returned a 'different' item and are refusing the refund! Why would I send a different item? I wanted a refund. I've been an Amazon customer for many years and they can see I've always been honest and never made any sort of claim before. It seems that a returns staff member has stolen the phone and pretended that I've not returned it. On top of all of this, any attempt at a genuine conversation with their support is impossible. They stick to scripted replies and won't enter into an actual conversation to try and sort the issue. In simple terms, Amazon have scammed me. Whether it's their driver or a member of the returns team... and Amazon don't want to know.I will never buy a high value item from Amazon ever again. I warn others, do not buy high value items because, if you have to return it... you risk Amazon scamming you. I have had to pass this to my bank's fraud department. In conclusion: Amazon staff have committed a crime / fraud and they refuse to even talk about the issue. Avoid Amazon.
