worst online retailer I've ever dealt with

This is the first and last time I'm ever ordering anything with AliExpress.my order number is 3054848905329727They used Evri to deliver an £80 phone screen replacement, the driver left the parcel on the door step, and 12 minutes later it was stolen. Both events are captured on my door cam. So in summary I never got my parcel, and AliExpress refused to compensate me.I contacted AliExpress, Evri, and logged the crime with the local police department and was issued a crime reference number.AliExpress refused to compensate me, knowing that the contract of delivery is between them and the courier, and it is their duty to claim it from them.I've sent videos of the events, copy of the Evri letter admitting that they didn't deliver the item to a safe location, and the police crime reference email, and yet they won't accept that I did not receive the item, or pay me back, or send me a replacement with a safer courier. The customer service is incompetent and a bunch of liars, after many attempts they finally admitted that I submitted evidence, then they told me to go to the local post office to claim it (again, it was Evri not Royal Mail) and then said "did not reply to the official document with the official seal"The customer service support team chat write with rosy words and emojis, but then state that they'll escalate this to the "superior" service team, who reply back with absolute nonsense.I'm going to pursue this claim via a bank chargeback, and then with other legal means.AVOID WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS THIEVING COMPANYTo this day:❌ I have received no refund❌ I have no product❌ AliExpress refuses to return the item✅ They have both my money and my goodsThis is not just unacceptable — it is unethical and, in my view, very likely unlawful.⚖️ Based on my experience, I believe AliExpress has potentially violated multiple UK consumer protection laws, including:• Consumer Rights Act 2015 → Products must be of satisfactory quality, match their description, and be fit for purpose. A defective unit should be refundable. → Denying a refund after successful return breaches this obligation.• Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 → Customers have the right to return goods purchased online within the return window without excessive burden or cost. → Demanding shipment to China, despite returning to their UK warehouse, is unlawful and misleading.• Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 → Prohibits unfair commercial practices, such as false advertising, misleading omissions, and shifting obligations unfairly onto the buyer. → Their advertised “90-Day Free Return” was clearly a deception in my case. This experience has destroyed my trust in AliExpress and seriously harmed me financially and emotionally. As of now, I am escalating this case through:• UK Citizens Advice and Trading Standards• Money Claim Online — to begin formal court proceedings• Action Fraud — to report what I believe constitutes fraudulent conductThis is unacceptable, unethical, and very likely unlawful under UK consumer rights law. AliExpress not only misled me with a fraudulent “Free Return” policy, but are now effectively holding my goods hostage and denying a refund without basis.🚨 If you're considering purchasing anything of value on AliExpress, I urge you to reconsider. If something goes wrong, you will be left with no protection, no support, and no justice.
