I have booked a smoke-free hotel room. When arriving at the hotel every room smelled terrible like smoke. It was that bad that my group and I could not stay in the hotel, we had to book a new hotel for multiple nights on the day of arrival. Not only had we much higher cost as the new hotel had a way higher price (due to having to book it the same evening) but also the original cost of the hotel. Agoda offered to compensate us with 25€ which ist not nearly sufficient for our extra-cost that we had. I can not recommend Agoda. Usually I book through booking.com and I have never had any issue with them, so in the future I will definitely go back to booking.com and regret using Agoda!
