I see Agoda only have a 1.3 Trustpilot rating. All I can say is that I've been using them for well over a year and they've been great! I do use Expedia too, but I find both companies very useful.My first booking with Agoda was for a 1 night stay in Hollywood for Jan 2024. I cancelled another hotel through another company at the last minute as the reviews worried me. I bit the bullet and booked a nice looking hotel with Agoda at a similar price to the one I cancelled and it was a really nice hotel and no issues when I got there checking in, booking was all fine and paid for.I then got a late place for the Chicago marathon and the cheapest hotel in a good location (one I had actually stayed in 2 years prior) was through Agoda. This is the only booking through Agoda where I had to pay upfront, so was a but nervous parting with £1,000+ cash, but again I got to the hotel and all was fine with no hidden fees. In fact I even got a much better room than my previous stay, although that may have been a reflection of the room rates as I always just go for the cheapest or best available.Finally I booked a Disney hotel through them, with 2 separate reservations at different times as their rate was well over £200 cheaper for 8 nights vs Disney direct. Plus I didn't have to pay anything upfront until a week before check in. A few days after my booking I messaged Agoda to get my disney reservation numbers so I could link them in the Disney app and Agoda customer service were superb and got back to me within 48 hours with the numbers and they linked seamlessly. My stays in Disney were without issue too.I have also had a number of bookings through Agoda, to avail their free cancellations and no money upfront offers and have cancelled them all without any problems.I find them Super convenient and will continue to use them. My only reservations about them are their "offers", you have to be a bit wiley to access their best prices. The only other thing I will say is perhaps I have only used them for US hotels so far, so perhaps that's more established than booking in more remote areas where things may go wrong. I will continue to use them for the foreseeable.
