I wish I could leave a 0 star review. I’m not sure when AAA became one of the worst companies to work with in terms of roadside assistance, but wow. The companies they have contracts with couldn’t care less if you wait all night for a tow. My break caliper seized at around 3:30 pm and call for the tow at around 3:45 pm. I was quoted a max of 2 hours. After waiting around for 4 hours, we called for an update. Now, not only are the companies that they are contracted with horrible, but so is 85% of their customer service reps. The lady we connected with was barely letting us talk, and was acting like this wait time issue was NBD. She acted like she was on the phone with her friend, cracking jokes to the people (said “I’m at the bottom of the food chain” when we asked if she could see where the driver was coming from) who have been stranded for hours on end. Finally, 4 and a half hours later, the tow truck arrives. He proceeded to show me multiple tow companies accepting the tow and then cancelling an hour later. He even mentioned the fact that he brought this issue up to his supervisor, and was pretty much dismissed. I understand that poor weather, rush hour, and other issues can contribute to wait times. But on a beautiful day in a non-rush hour area, I don’t see the reason for waiting until the sun is down to help us. AAA needs to reevaluate the companies they choose to work with, because now I know to call a local tow company the next time I’m in need of help. 0/10 experience would not recommend anyone use their roadside assistance.
