Battery Fraud??

Called AAA for our daughter. He car sat while away to college. They jumped it but when it shut off it would not start. The battery was dead and apparently would not hold a charge. We agreed to replace the battery. The tech replaced the battery but oddly had to jump it to get it to start. Clearly this did not make sense. She was told to drive it a bit to make sure the new battery is charged. She did, after about 45 min. She shut it off and it would not start. Called AAA. Back, different guy comes out. Says the new battery was bad. He replaced it and said he had to clean the cables. Not getting a good connection. She drove it a bit. Stopped. It wouldnt start. Called AAA back. , new guy comes out. He cleans connections, tests the battery and says, look at this, the battery is 5 years old. Apparently tech put an old battery in. Accident or deliberate? Are they putting just any old battery in? Not the battery that is spec'd for a 2008 Prius? 12 volt. This tech was clearly angry and said this is not right. He put a new battery in and she has so far had no further issues. Be aware of the people and side businesses AAA sends out to work on your car. This happened in Columbus Ohio if AAA cares to look into it. There cant be that many people they had to send someone out 4x to do what they charged her for properly. Or can there be more?
