Uber Scammers– Absolutely Disgusting ExperienceI had what can only be described as a blatant attempted scam by an Uber-approved driver, and Uber’s response has been shockingly negligent. Last night, I booked an Uber from Guildford to Portsmouth. The fare was paid in advance, as required. The driver showed up, then told me his “app has been down for days” and demanded £80 in cash — on top of the fare I had already paid. He refused to drive me unless I gave him the money. When I told him no, that I had already paid, he shrugged and refused the ride.He then parked in the train station car park, loitered for about 10 minutes, and didn’t cancel the ride until I texted him and asked him to. It was shady, suspicious, and could easily be the kind of setup that leads to someone being extorted, stranded, or worse. There’s no phone number to call, no way to speak to anyone in real-time at 1/2am, no live chat and no support when you actually need it. I contacted Uber the next day to report what happened, expecting a serious response. Instead, I got “we’re looking into it” with no case number, no proper investigation, and no accountability. I asked if they could review dashcam/CCTV footage — but again, radio silence. It’s now clear that their “safety policies” are a facade. This driver is actively scamming people, and Uber is doing absolutely nothing to stop it.Even worse, without a reference number, I can’t escalate it for fraud, so the scammer walks away clean, and Uber gets to pretend nothing happened. If you’re a woman traveling alone, or just someone expecting a legitimate, safe service: DO NOT TRUST UBER. They enable this kind of behavior by refusing to act. What used to be a reliable service is now a cesspit of unverified drivers, predatory behavior, and corporate indifference.

Review of envato
I purchased a few items through Envato a while ago, including some Code Canyon WordPress themes. The quality on the backend of these has always been fair to mediocre, but the refund policy is pretty brutal, so I'd stay away from the more expensive assets if you're new to them. My main issue today is that emails from do-not-reply[at]market.envato.com cannot be stopped without leaving your email client, logging into the website, and hunting the menus looking for email notification preferences, which needs to be improved.
Review of duolingo
Having happily used Duolingo since 2020, I am now disappointed and frustrated with recent changes to the free version. It is now very difficult to build up more than 1 or 2 hearts, meaning that it is increasingly difficult to complete an exercise. The current ads are also extremely annoying. I assume these are methods to persuade you to pay for the app. It is having the opposite effect on me and making it increasingly likely that I will stop using it altogether.
Review of co
Impossible to read anything with the videos popping up in the corner, as well as adverts at the same time. They must be generating some amount of money going by the amount of adverts.Pointless staying around for this annoying site

Review of wellsfargo
I have been a customer of Wells Fargo since 1983, Wells Fargo has closed all but one branch in the town, I literally have to drive past three banks to get to a Wells Fargo, I’ve been trying to use the online banking app, the latest update has made it so I am unable to find my deposits into my account, I contact the company twice, no response. With outstanding customer service like that understand why they’re closing branches. The absence of branches to be used a bad app and no customer service makes for a low standard of banking

Review of thriftbooks
I generally love my book buying experience from this dite. However, in advance of a trip to Australia, I bought what I thought was a recent copy of Fodor's Australia. It was 1994. Why would a reputable company sell a book that is so outdated as to gave so little utility?

Review of lastpass
I've had LastPass for the last three years. It worked great and I was able to use my fingerprint as an ID confirmation on my phone. Then magically one day it wanted my Master Password. I put it in and it says it doesn't recognize it. I looked up FAQ in customer service and it says that I have to have the same computer that I created the Master Password on in order for it to be used. I replaced my computer two years ago!! I contacted customer service. They gave me some suggestions via email and finally admitted that there was nothing they could do and I would need to delete my current account (I CAN'T DO THAT WITHOUT A MASTER PASSWORD) and to start over again. I had over 200 passwords on that account. If I start over again, it will be with an app that won't screw me over. I am certainly NOT going to do LastPass again.
