I usually don’t bother with negative reviews but as Vrbo have let us down to such an extent, I see no other option. I wish I had seen all the other negative reviews before booking through them. We went on holiday to Mexico and had lots of issues with the property we were staying at. Luckily the property owner herself was very understanding and helpful and agreed for us to leave early but Vrbo refused and we ended up being charged twice. When we returned home and received the refund, Vrbo even deducted £150 off for processing the refund. All in all they made in excess of £1,000 from us but not being helpful in any way.Customer service is unresponsive. Didn’t call back within the promised time and every time we did get through we had to go through the same argument again. One agent agreed we should receive a refund and the next agent completely refused. Having to deal with a company like that while on holiday and trying to relax was extremely stressful and I hope people read this and decide not to use Vrbo - ever!

WARNING!

WARNING!! DO NOT EVEN TRY!!They have this system where you subscribe to the annual plan, and you basically have no way to cancel it with no bloated cancelation fees. You basically have one day to cancel with no fees, which is the final day of your subscription and if you miss that window then it automatically gets renewed, and then you are screwed. Of course this is all buried in small print in their Lord of the Rings length TOS so you legally consent to being tricked. American unrestrained greed at its finest.Even though I payed them $575 all my unused credits got removed the second I cancelled.

AVOID AVOID AVOID.2 years ago I applied for a free account which offers free everything within limitations, but you had to add a payment method. I thought this is fine because I only wanted to test it. I added my wifes paypal account and tested it and realised I didn't like it/need it. The account was in my name, but the paypal was in her name. During the next few months they sent an email to my wife saying they are upgrading my account to a professional account and would be taking a subscription even though my account still falls into the criteria of the free account. Unfortunately my wife ignored/missed this because she thought it was some form of spam.They then started taking annual subscriptions and are now avoiding communicating with us as they have charged us for a second year and don't seem to want to pay it back. When I logged in to see what was happening, I still have a basic account and my wife does not have an account, but they are still happily taking the money.We will try to sort through Paypal, but I am not holding my breathAVOID

OUTSTANDING

I first made contact with The Clover Team back in May 2015 to visit me at a shop in Ivybridge Devon.

The Representive Tanya Goddard visited me to demonstrate the Clover System and was accompanied by her Manager.
First impressions are that its professional set up that really have invested into the customer experience and training that allows them to deliver a smooth streamed demonstration to a very carefully thought out presentation.

Now to the system itself. Having no experience of being in retail but taking over a shop, I wanted to have a system that was not just a till to take money, but one that could deliver more and allow me the support of dedicated software that would allow me to maximise the delivery of the shop and to see where improvements could be made.

They took a long list of what I wanted, and then set about delivering each of the requirements needed and being honest when they could not do this.
The features are endless and simplicity is also excellent and I don't think you could use it to its full potential.

Every system has its limits but Clover continued to deliver.

The build quality and design is what draws me to it, simple sleek lines and again very clear instructions given that this system is NOT APPLE but that it operates on the Android System. The thought that has gone into the design is clear and with our current shop that is being built, this unit not only works wonders in making the running of the business easier, it adds a class of style and also tech friendly.

I have read the negative reviews and do question the integrty and would highlight that if you operate a business in Manchester than why is your currency set in dollars? I personally feel it's a dirty tricks Tatic by another leading brand who are trying to damage a reputation.

My honest personal advice is this, we all know what we want for our business and have certain expectations, let the Clover System do the talking, as it will do the rest.
Again after having the system shown to us again yesterday 26 Dec 15 at our Shop, we have not stared to order 2 systems and a handheld machine for 2 business, in very different sectors, one a clothing shop with a outdoor events side and also a new coffee shop.

While we have not gone firm on the price due to us being offered a system by another company and for us cost is important, The only gripe is that they won't budge on the offer made to us, which will sadly result in us going to a different company.

I am blown away by the system and wish them all the best.

Stick to the free version. It works better.

This was great when i had the free version. In fact it was so great i upgraded to chatgpt plus. And there the problems began. Constant glitches, errors, serious lag and sometimes memory not saving even though its enabled. Shocking service for a paid subscription. I will not be renewing the plus subscription after this months expires.

Their hotmail spam filter is atrocious, constantly getting genuine emails that i have tagged as safe still going into spam or junk.I send emails to hotmail accounts from my company address and 60 percent of them never make it or are sent to my clients junk.Avoid ever using this email service.
