I spent £600 on the fenix 5 sapphire i paid the extra £90 for wifi model as i didn't want to have to play around with bluetooth. I was hesitant to buy this watch as it's clearly not worth £600 and the internet seems to be full of unhappy customers with Garmin products. So the watch looks good but everything else is underwhelming, the screen quality is poor, lacks colour and is very dull and hard to see. The watch seemed to have lots of features all displayed as icons instead of telling you what they are. So i checked the manual for my £600 tiny 13 page manual to see what each icon means. There was nothing in there, so i checked their website nothing on there either and then into the forums where i found years of people trying to guess what the icons stood for, pretty poor garmin especially for such an overpriced device. I contacted garmin support and their customer service was awful i initially thought the response was a robot, they simply sent me instructions for a hard reset. I'm still not sure what icons mean, what does a man with hands in air and circle around it mean?So i started wearing the watch, hooked it up to wifi started recording my activities. I got home and expected it to upload my activities but nothing, i had to go back into the watch and manually sync. I though maybe after a run/cycle it may sync but no it doesn't and it is supposed to auto sync i turned this on.Then there is move IQ, this is automatically supposed to recognise when you do a sport. So i went for a cycle, then sycned my device i hunted through all my data and only when i looked at my heart rate i seen a little cycle icon. So it worked, well yes but beside this icon there is and information icon. It states than move IQ activities don't appear in any logs or records, so what is the point??? Garmin sell this feature as a main feature of the fenix 5 but it's useless, you wouldn't even know it had recorded an activity. Then there was sleep data, first night it seemed to record data, the next 2 nights no data was recorded at all, instead all i had was 3 hours of stress data.I've contacted Garmin support and they are terrible, they just tell you to reset and dont answer your questions. The blue tooth has also stopped working and the altimeter just tells me that i'm below sea level, i'm not i'm actually 500m above. Garmin market themselves as a premium device company, they are definitely not. They have dressed up a cheap device here, my fit bit operates better than this.If you asked me to value the fenix 5 sapphire, i'd say £100Avoid at all costs, i think i'm going to return this as a faulty product
